Tommy Nickles Homicide

On April 3rd 2012, at 2:22 am Dayton Fire responded to a structure fire at 838 S Main St inside of a garage. Once the blaze was put out they found the remains of 54 year old Tommy Nickles inside along with his Golden Retriever “Rusty”. Both Nickles and Rusty had been shot to death before the fire was set. Nickles’ work van was missing and was later recovered on the west side of Dayton. Mr. Nickles was a kind, generous, trusting person. He and his dog were inseparable and did not deserve to die in such a manner.
